The aim of this document is to give you an understanding of technical topics that go beyond the usual configuration and use of JobRouter and are for that reason not described in the user, admin or workflow designer manual.

This document is intended for experienced IT administrators and covers the following areas:

Problem analysis and troubleshooting

This chapter describes how to troubleshoot problems with JobRouter. You will learn how to activate the logging of the different JobRouter components and how to configure it. Furthermore, it is explained where those generated log information can be found and how you can use them as basis to perform your own troubleshooting. In addition, it is described how to receive certain detailed information that can be helpful for troubleshooting by activating the debug mode.

Performance optimization

This chapter describes optimizing the JobRouter environment. Here you will learn how to activate parallel processing pools in JobRouter to speed up processes with many instances. Furthermore, it describes how to activate the background sending and recursive sending of instances to improve the user perceived performance.

Load distribution and failover

This chapter describes how to run the JobFlow component independently to not burden the web server with automatic steps. Furthermore, you will learn setting up and configuring JobRouter in a scalable environment.
