By means of the online platform Zapier workflows and tasks can be easily automatized through different online services.

Zapier is  a flexible cloud service for the integration of different business apps even without the need of programming knowledge. The program supports more than 2,000 common online services from any feasible area. These include, among others, tools like Toggl, Trello, and Github, but also Office, Google Forms, or OneDrive, just to name some. Zapier has numerous fields of application, which depend of the available integration possibilities.

The so-called Zaps manage and mutually synchronize the desired processes. Thereby the Zap is using a triggering event (action), the so-called trigger, to start one action in another. Each Zapier app can have a different number of triggers and actions.

Webhooks

When we talk about Zapier we also talk a lot about Webhooks. Many connections to external systems are not possible without Webhooks. But what are Webhooks actually?

Webhooks enable you to inform a server application about the occurrence of a certain trigger and to trigger a reaction to the event. If an application is informed about an occurred event via a Webhook, the interested users do not have to poll to get informed about the event. So the number of messages between the applications can be reduced.

JobRouter and Zapier

JobRouter offers a system activity for the start of Zaps from JobRouter.

On the other hand, there is a JobRouter app within Zapier that offers the following functionalities:

Start of new processes in JobRouter

Trigger for new steps in the inbox

Trigger for new documents in an archive

The JobRouter app in Zapier is available free of charge.
