Process Designer

A routing rule can alter the flow of your process, dynamically enabling the next step based on certain conditions. You can use those conditions to activate a certain step for a certain user or Job Function. For this, you use an user or Job Function for the next step. If left unspecified, the Job Function or user used will be the one that is assigned to the step.

For every rule whose conditions are met and for which you have specified a next step, a new step will be initiated. For multiple met rules, multiple steps will be initiated, and they will run in parallel. If the condition of a step-creating rule is met, the original next step for that step will be ignored. If there is a step that you want to always create, you can establish a routing rule to do so.

You can also set the processing deadline for a new step in the routing rule or change the preset processing deadline of the step. Enter a value (such as 24) and a unit of time (such as hours), from which a new escalation time will be calculated. Learn more about escalations in chapter Escalations (JobTimer module).
